Information about Glen Carbon Veterans

The Village of Glen Carbon, Illinois has the distinguished honor of claiming host to the Harry G. Seaton American Legion Post #435 (Chartered on October 20th, 1934) and Glen Carbon Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) Post #2222, (Chartered on November 20th, 1991).

The main goal of both organizations is to improve the lives of our Nations Veterans and the communities in which they live; also to increase and support public awareness of veterans' issues.The American Legion Post 435 and V.F.W. Post 2222 often labor together on community activities and projects.

The current priority is the addition to and renovation of the Glen Carbon Veterans Monument at Honor Roll Park in “Old Town” Glen Carbon, culminating with the Dedication Ceremony on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2007.
